About this event
We're going to clean up CA-99 (northbound, between Kettleman and Turner)!
We'll meet first at 8:00 AM at the Hollywood Family Café to split into smaller groups, review safety procedures, and equip supplies. Then we'll head to Highway 99 to clean up trash for about 2 hours, then head back to the restaurant for brunch.
We do this on the first Saturday of February, April, June, August, October, and December (even-numbered months).
To participate, please RSVP so that we may follow-up with you and watch this safety video .
No tools are required! Caltrans has provided gloves, trash bags, grabbers, and helmets.
You may want to bring a water bottle. You must wear jeans and close-toed shoes.
RAIN OR SHINE. If it rains, we'll have brunch first and clean up after if the rain has cleared.
Participants must be 16 or older. Sorry, safety first.
